We are Josh and Sooz. After meeting at university in Bath and spending many a late night talking about creating theatre, we decided to start Fysdunctional Theatre Co.
Using our background in theatre production, prop making and puppetry, we create interactive works with a focus on connection, play and visual storytelling. We explore topics that challenge young people to think about their environment and their place within it.

Josh
Usually found in the workshop, hanging from the roof of a festival stage or behind a lighting desk, Josh is our in house technical wizard, writer and director!
His work is inspired by the natural shapes and forms of the natural world around us, Looking to re connect with our sense of belonging and play.
Sooz (Susie)
Sooz is our resident Writer-director-puppet maker extraordinaire! She can whip up a Jellyfish, fresh new script or some seaweed at the drop of a hat.
She loves writing about the human affinity with nature and each other. Her work often champions the quiet soul or the misunderstood, giving them a voice and a story to tell. As a maker, she is inspired by nature’s textures, plants and animals and uses natural fibres and forms to inform her creations.
